The 5th Annual Smokeout for Lung Cancer was a huge success. The men and of Delta Tau Delta and the women of Alpha Delta Pi team together to raise money for Lung Cancer. Smokeout for Lung Cancer is a fundraiser that is extremely successful and raises alot money to contribute to the American Cancer Society

R.E. Shane Ragan II,CIC,TK 254,BBA 1990 has been inducted as President of the Professional Insurance Agents of Georgia for 2010-2011. The PIA of Georgia has represented property and casualty agents in Georgia for 72 years. My father Gene Ragan (PIA President 1980) and I are the first father and son to have this privledge. I attribute the leadership skills instilled in me by my parents and Sigma Nu in helping me prepare for this opportunity.

Kicklighter's documentary film wins award

Current Epsilon Omega undergraduate, James Kicklighter, won the Award of Merit from The Accolade Competition for his documentary Di Passaggio.The award was given for James Kicklighter’s documentary feature shot in Italy, following a group of University System of Georgia students on an international adventure to find themselves, framed by a filmmaker at odds with his own past. Di Passaggio was recognized alongside productions from ABC News, USA Today Live, Eyewitness Kids News and many others.

“It is a true honor to receive this award, and I can’t imagine winning it without the terrific cast and crew that I was so fortunate to work with,” said director and producer James Kicklighter. “I am deeply humbled for our documentary to join such a distinguished list of films past and present.”The Accolade recognizes film, television and videography professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce standout entertainment or contribute to profound social change. They undergo a rigorous evaluation process recognized by buyers and distributors with outstanding industry organizations like the American Film Market (AFM) and the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE).

Di Passaggio will screen on Saturday, September 26th at the Peachtree Village International Film Festival in Atlanta, GA. Di Passaggio will close out the evening for the festival in Underground Atlanta’s Event Loft. The screening begins at 7:15 PM, followed by a question and answer session with the production team.
